1. The Promoter
The Promoter is AERL Pty Ltd (ABN 87 653 916 477) of 75 Bluestone Circuit, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073, Australia ("AERL", "we", "us"). Contact: [email protected] or +61 1800 950 865 (within Australia).
2. The Promotion
The "LiFe² Hamilton Island Promotion" (the "Promotion") is a game of chance conducted as a trade promotion. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Permits: The total prize value of this Promotion does not exceed AUD $5,000 and is therefore below the thresholds at which a trade promotion authority is required in New South Wales ($10,000) or a licence is required in South Australia ($5,000.01). This Promotion is not open to residents of the Australian Capital Territory (see clause 4), and no ACT permit is held.
3. Promotion Period
The Promotion runs from 12:01 am AEST on 22 July 2026 to 11:59 pm AEST on 31 October 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). Purchases outside the Promotion Period are not eligible.
4. Eligibility
Entry is open to:
- individuals: Australian-resident installers and electrical contractors aged 18 years or over; and
- businesses: Australian-registered installation businesses,
in each case where they purchase AERL LiFe² battery modules directly from AERL during the Promotion Period for use in their business. Purchases from distributors, resellers or any other third party are not eligible and do not generate entries.
Who holds the entry: each entry is held by the person or entity named as the purchaser on the AERL invoice. An employee who purchases through their employer's account does not receive a personal entry — the entry belongs to the account holder. Purchases made by multiple branches or accounts of the same legal entity are aggregated under that entity.
If a business wins, it must nominate one eligible representative (an Australian resident aged 18 years or over, approved by the business's owner or principal) to receive the prize and travel with a guest.
ACT excluded: this Promotion is not open to residents of the Australian Capital Territory, or to businesses whose relevant purchasing account is registered in the ACT. Purchases attributable to ACT residents or ACT-registered accounts do not generate entries.
The following are also not eligible to enter: directors, officers and employees of AERL and of agencies or suppliers directly associated with conducting this Promotion, together with their immediate families.
5. How to Enter
- Entry is automatic. Each eligible AERL LiFe² battery module purchased directly from AERL during the Promotion Period entitles the purchaser to one (1) entry in the draw.
- A module is "purchased" when it is ordered and invoiced within the Promotion Period and paid for (in full or under the purchaser's usual approved trading terms) as at the draw date.
- Entries are recorded by AERL from its own sales records. No entry form, registration or proof of purchase submission is required.
- There is no limit on the number of entries per entrant. Ten modules purchased equals ten entries.
- The following are not eligible purchases and their corresponding entries are void: modules returned, refunded, or forming part of a cancelled or unpaid order as at the draw date; demonstration or display stock; warranty or service replacements; and complimentary or internally transferred units.
- AERL's determination of the number of eligible entries, based on its sales records, is final.
6. The Draw
- The draw will take place at 10:00 am AEST on 7 November 2026 at AERL's offices, 75 Bluestone Circuit, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073, using a random electronic selection from all eligible entries.
- The first eligible entry drawn wins the prize.
- The winner will be notified by phone and email within two (2) business days of the draw, and the winner's name (and business name, where applicable) will be published on aerl.com.au and on AERL's social channels.
- If the prize is not claimed by 5:00 pm AEST on 8 February 2027 (three months after the draw), an unclaimed-prize redraw will be conducted at the same location and by the same method at 10:00 am AEST on 9 February 2027, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
7. The Prize
One (1) prize is available, consisting of:
- Return economy flights for two (2) adults, including standard checked baggage, from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Hamilton Island (Great Barrier Reef Airport), Queensland. Travel between the winner's home and that capital city departure point is not included and is the winner's responsibility;
- Five (5) nights' resort accommodation on Hamilton Island for two (2) adults (one room, twin share), at a resort property and room category selected by the Promoter, near Catseye Beach;
- Airport transfers on Hamilton Island between Great Barrier Reef Airport and the resort;
- AUD $1,500 spending money, provided as a prepaid debit card or credited to the winner's booking, at the Promoter's election.
The total prize value (including flights, accommodation and spending money) varies with the winner's point of departure and travel dates but does not exceed AUD $5,000.
Prize conditions:
- Travel dates are selected by the winner and confirmed by the Promoter subject to flight and accommodation availability. Travel must be completed by 31 October 2027. Peak periods (school holidays, Christmas/New Year and Easter) may be excluded.
- The winner and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary.
- If the winner elects not to travel, or any component of the prize is unused (including where the winner resides on or near Hamilton Island), the unused component is forfeited and is not redeemable for cash unless the Promoter determines otherwise.
- The prize does not include travel insurance, transfers other than those stated, meals, beverages, activities, incidentals, or any other cost not expressly listed. All such costs are the winner's responsibility.
- The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable and, except as expressly stated, not redeemable for cash. If the prize (or any part of it) is unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any required regulatory approval.
- Any tax liability arising from acceptance of the prize (other than GST remitted by the Promoter) is the winner's responsibility. Winners should seek independent advice regarding any fringe benefits tax or income tax implications.
8. Privacy
AERL collects entrants' personal information (from its own sales and account records) for the purpose of conducting this Promotion, including determining entries, drawing and publishing the winner, and awarding the prize. Without this information, entries cannot be administered.
Personal information is handled in accordance with AERL's Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information may be disclosed to the Promoter's service providers and, where required, to regulatory authorities. Entrants may access or correct their personal information by contacting AERL.
9. General Conditions
- If this Promotion cannot proceed as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control (including regulatory intervention, technical failure or fraud), the Promoter may, subject to any applicable law and regulatory approval, modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion.
- The Promoter may verify the eligibility of any entrant and may disqualify any entrant who has breached these Terms, tampered with the entry process, or engaged in unlawful or improper conduct in connection with the Promotion.
- The Promoter's decisions in connection with this Promotion are final, and no correspondence will be entered into, except as required by law.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with this Promotion or the prize, including during travel.
- These Terms are prepared in English. If there is any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
