LiFe² Battery Systems

The Australian Government's program providing rebates of up to $6,641 for eligible household battery installations (rebate rates were reduced and made tiered by capacity from 1 May 2026). The program aims to make battery storage more affordable for Australian families while building a more resilient energy grid.

Under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program (rates effective 1 May 2026), rebates start at $258 per kWh for the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, with lower rates applying to capacity above that, up to a maximum of $6,641 per household for a 50 kWh system. Your approved installer confirms the exact amount.

LiFe² is now CEC Listed (Clean Energy Council approved) and meets all technical requirements for the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, including safety standards, capacity requirements, and VPP capability where required.

Grid-connected properties must be VPP capable but are not required to actually join a VPP program. Off-grid properties must be 1km+ from the grid or have connection costs over $30,000.
